San Jose was treated to yet another great Mix Martial Arts event on Saturday night, previously hosting such memorable encounters such as Fabricio Werdum’s (18-5) huge upset win over Fedor Emelianenko, (34-4) and Cung Le’s (9-2) 2008 Strikeforce title winning encounter over Frank Shamrock (23-10), two more memorable names were added to that list, as Robbie Lawler (24-10) and Matt Brown (19-12) put on a courageous display of high level violence and sportsmanship in a bout where Lawler moves on to face the champion Johny Hendricks (16-2) for a second time probably early next year, and Matt Brown, although in coming up short has almost certainly improved his stock following that highly impressive performance against one of the very 170lb fighters on the planet.
