UFC on FOX 17: Rafael dos Anjos vs. Cerrone Results, Bonuses, Video Highlights & Post fight Press Conference

ORLANDO, Fla. (Saturday December 19, 2015) UFC on FOX 17 featured lightweights Rafael dos Anjos and Donald Cerrone. The event took place at Amway Center in Orlando, Fla. The main card was aired on FOX while the prelims on FOX Sports 1 and UFC Fight Pass.

Below you will find the Post fight press conference replay, bonuses, highlights of the main and co-main event and the official results. UFC on FOX 17 event drew an announced attendance of 14,459 and a live gate of $1.71 million.

In the main event, we saw a battle between Rafael dos Anjos vs. Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone. In first round Rafael dos Anjos started the fight by stricking first with a brutal knee to the body and then hit Cerrone with a left kick that forced him to cover up. Dos Anjos took advantage and followed with a three-punch combo. Cerrone tried to take down dos Anjos but didn’t go his way as Rafael ended up on his back and started landing blows to Cerrone, referee Herb Dean had to call a stop to the bout at the 1:06 mark of Round 1.

In the co-main event, Alistair Overeem stepped in the cage to face Junior dos Santos. In the first round was pretty much a round with little to no action.  The second round started and that’s when Overeem opened up and connected with a huge punch that dropped Dos Santos and Overeem won the fight by TKO (punches). The fight will be Overeem’s final fight on his UFC contract. Will we see Overeem fight again in the UFC?
