UFC Pittsburgh Cowboy Vs Cowboy Recap and Official Results
Saturday February 21, 2016– Live from the Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh the UFC took center stage for a full slate of great fights. The main event was a fight between the two cowboys of the UFC. Donald Cowboy Cerrone took on Alex Cowboy Oliveira in the new main event that was changed because the Tim Means was pulled out due to a failed drug test. Cerrone is coming off a defeat that was for the lightweight title in his last fight, he made the decision to move up in weight and fight in the welterweight division. There is no doubt that Donald needs a bounce back win to get things back on the right track, as before his recent lost he was riding a big eight fight win streak and a win here will get him back on the right track. Oliveira stepping in to fight his fellow Cowboy brings nothing but good things as Oliveira himself is riding a three fight winning streak himself and a win here could find himself in the top 15. Also on the card is a middleweight fight between Derek Brunson and Roan Carneiro and another huge fight in the bantamweight division as undefeated Cody Garbrandt takes on another undefeated fighter Augusto Mendes. A full slate of prelims to kick things off before the main card gets rolling.

Co Main Event Middleweight Division
Derek Brunson (14-3) Vs Roan Carneiro (20-9)
The co main event featured two top middleweights that were posed to tear the house down in Pittsburgh, Derek Brunson and Roan Carneiro are both in need of a win to try to climb up the middleweight ladder. A win for either man can possibly land themselves a top 15 opponent, the loser will find himself even deeper in a hole. The 1st round starts out with both fighters showing each other respect, little to no action at first a few kicks and strikes exchanged. Carniero goes in for a huge right hand that whiffs and as Carniero falls Brunson starts the ground and pound. A few punches get through at first but after that the fury of punches all find a home and that its. The winner by TKO in the 1st round Derek Brunson. No doubt Brunson brought it and it shows that another big name in the middleweight division is climbing up the ladder.
Main Event Welterweight Division
Donald Cowboy Cerrone (28-7) Vs Alex Cowboy Oliveira (13-2-1)
The main event is between two welterweights that need a win, Donald Cerrone is coming off the worst loss of his career and now that he has moved up in weight the Cowboy is looking for a fresh start. Alex Oliveira is riding a three fight win streak and would love a huge win in the biggest fight of his career. The 1st rounds starts out with both fighters getting in the clench early, Oliveira with the early pressure. Both fighters exchanging knees and they make their way back to the center. They exchange and Oliveira lands a right hand, and that is followed up with a Cerrone takedown. Cerrone quickly gets side control, Cerrone quickly makes his into a triangle choke and that is it. The winner by triangle choke Donald Cowboy Cerrone. A big win for Cowboy, a win that he needed.
As the night comes to an end only one Cowboy stood tall. Another rising middleweight is making his way up the ladder and a hometown undefeated bantamweight makes his claim to be a ranked fighter. Another great night of fights from the UFC, and with a lot of wins that occurred tonight the ranking will be shaking up no doubt about it.
