UFC Tampa Teixeira Vs Evans Recap & Official Results
Saturday April 16, 2016— Live from the Amalie Arena in Tampa Florida the UFC had set a stacked card for their return to Florida, but as everyone who knows the sport all cards are subject to change. The original main event was set to be Tony Ferguson Vs Khabib Nurmagomedov, but due to injury Ferguson had to pull out. Rashad Evans original opponent Shogun Rua had to pull out due to injury and in came Glover Teixeira. Also Lyoto Machida tested positive for a banned substance so his bout with Dan Henderson was canceled. But after all the dust settled we had a new main event and new co main event. Rashad Evans and Glover Teixeira was the main event and the new co main event was a strawweight battle between Rose Namajunas and Tecia Torres. The main event has more riding on it then just a win as both men are on the back-end of their respective careers and need this win if they want one more shot at a title shot. The co main has just as much riding as both women are at the top of their division and are just one win away from being next in line for a title shot. So much riding on this stacked card and it all kicks off with a super stacked set of prelim fights before the main card kicks off.
