Unbeaten Julien Leblanc Eyes Another Finish This Weekend

Fort McMurray Alberta (Thu, May 11, 2017)– Prestige Fighting Championships returns for their 8th show on May 12, 2017 at the Casman Centre. This event will be available online here on FightBookMMA on the FITE TV Network starting at 10PM ET/7PM PT. Below you can find the fight card including how you can order this event.

The event will feature Ft McMurray’s best professional and amateur mixed martial artists. The main event is a great matchup between Mike Kent and undefeated Julien Leblanc out of Toronto, Ontario.

Before unbeaten Canadian prospect Julien Leblanc tries to improve to 4-0 this weekend for Prestige FC in Fort McMurray, Alta., Canada, the hard-hitting big man sat down with FightBookMMA.

How has camp gone for this fight?

It’s been going really well. Not to jinx it, but nothing has gone wrong (laughs). My training has been great, thanks to my coaches and training partners. I’m just excited to get down to business; it was a really good camp.

How have you adjusted with the opponent change, after Teddy Ash withdrew from the fight and was subsequently replaced by Mike Kent?

I don’t really care (laughs). That’s something I’ve dealt with in the past, so it’s something that doesn’t really phase me anymore, thankfully. He’s got more experience, but I’m going to show everyone that that won’t make a difference.

Is experience the only edge that he has on you?

I believe so. It will be a little edge, but I’m a calm and confident guy. Experience can make a difference, but I just knocked out a guy who had more than 30 fights. I’m used to this. We go in and, when the door closes, it doesn’t matter who has more experience; it’s just me and him in there.

How do you see this fight playing out?

I see myself finishing him, for sure. I’m not sure how, whether it will be by knockout or submission, but I’m going in there to finish him, and nothing less. I’m going to prove that I can finish him, because that’s what I’m going to do.

What would you like to accomplish in 2017?

I would like to for sure get two or three wins and make my way to the UFC or Bellator. After I win this weekend, things will get even more interesting. My goal is to just keep finishing my opponents and keep getting better.
