WHAT’S NEXT FOR THE UFC’S BIGGEST STAR
Written by: Patrick Courtois
Let’s drop the facts; 10-0 record, eight wins by her trademarked submission arm bars, two wins by TKO and KO respectively. Where does it go from here? Does “Rowdy” Ronda Rousey continue decimating all comers, or will a worthy adversary come forth? And what happens with the continued enticement from Hollywood?
Ronda Rousey is arguably, the most gifted and prolific winning fighting machine in the UFC. But she has yet to weather any real competition in the cage. Prompting some to suggest that her career thus far has been Mike Tyson-esque in nature. That is, being fed sub-par fighters whom on paper, seemingly possessed quantifiable skills but in fact were nothing more than play dates to practice tossing about in a sand box. Names abound, Gomes, Budd, Tate x 2, Kaufman, Carmouche, McMann, Davis. All wins were inside of 1 with the exception of Tate MK2. Marinate on that for a second.
