Two global forces in Muay Thai are teaming up once again to bring elite-level action to one of the biggest stages in the world.
Muay Thai Grand Prix and Lion Fight Promotions are partnering for a spectacular card on Saturday, April 7 at the Indigo at O2 Arena in London, England. The card will be topped by a sensational welterweight bout pitting England’s own Charlie Peters against Lion Fight’s newly signed Thai star Saemapetch Fairtex.
“We are extremely excited to be working with our great partners at Muay Thai Grand Prix and together bringing another excellent show to London,” said Scott Kent, CEO of Lion Fight.
“Our first event back in November (MTGP Presents Lion Fight 39) was such an overwhelming success in every aspect that both organizations wanted to get rolling on more co-promotions. Not only is Lion Fight 41 going to be a partnership with MTGP, but plans are firmly in place for Lion Fight 43 and Lion Fight 47 to be in the United Kingdom and Europe.”
Saemapetch is one of the newest additions to the Lion Fight talent pool coming courtesy of its partnership with Fairtex as the exclusive provider of fight gloves and shorts to Lion Fight. The 22-year-old sports a record of 115-14-1 and was previously the Tiger Cement super bantamweight champion.
The 28-year-old Peters (46-15) is no stranger to Lion Fight having past title shots against both Jo Nattawut and Fabio Pinca. In addition to his MTGP title, Peters has also claimed the WMC super welterweight belt.
More bouts as well as broadcast details for MTGP Presents Lion Fight 41 will be announced shortly, along with date and venue details for Lion Fight 43 and Lion Fight 47.
