WORLD SERIES OF FIGHTING – GLOBAL CHAMPIONSHIP

18-FIGHT CARD HIGHLIGHTED WITH 6 INTERNATIONAL MATCHES AT WSOFGC.COM

Fight Scheduled for December 17th at Differ Ariake Arena in Tokyo, Japan

TOKYO, JAPAN December 15, 2016– World Series of Fighting – Global Championship (WSOF-GC) is rolling out a mega 18-fight card with two world title fights this Saturday, December 17, by presenting WSOF-GC 4 DEEP VS GLOBAL. The main event will feature THE REMATCH between USA’s Lawrence DiGiulio and Japan’s Yusaku Nakamura, to take place in Tokyo at Differ Ariake Arena, for the WSOF-GC Flyweight Title. The co-main event will be for the inaugural WSOF-GC Bantamweight Title, pitting Brazil’s Fernando Vieira vs Japan’s Takafumi Otsuka. The feature match of the night is for the vacant DEEP Featherweight Championship, pitting the legendary Masakazu Imanari against rising contender Tatsunao Nagakura.

The event will take place as part of a spirited event with their Japanese affiliate organization, DEEP Fighting Championships. In addition to the two international WSOF GLOBAL World Title fights above, and the DEEP Featherweight Title bout, four additional international bouts will be highlighted on the card featuring a previously announced bantamweight match between Japan’s Masanori Kanehara (25-13-5) and Australia’s Charlie Alaniz (8-1).

Two additional international bantamweight matchups will also be on the card, including South South Korea’s Jin Soo Son (5-2-2) against Daisuke Endo (14-10-2). Another South Korea vs Japan matchup will pit Sung Jae Kim (5-5) against veteran Makoto Kamaya (27-15-4). The first international match of the night places Brazil’s Luiz Andrade (18-17-6) against young upstart, Shintaro Agatsuma (2-0), in a lightweight battle.

Despite giving up a lot of experience to Endo, Son has shown strong promise having defeated other standout veterans, including 17-win Yusuke Kagiyama. Kim, who is a late replacement for the undefeated Jae Woong Byun, shares a 2-fight win streak with Kamaya. Andrade’s karate expertise will be strongly tested against Agatsuma’s muay thai skills.

WSOF Global will host WSOF-GC 4 DEEP vs GLOBAL at Differ Ariake Arena on December 17, 2016 at 14:30JST (UTC +9). Tickets start at ¥6500 with VIP seating available for ¥16,000.
