WWE announced Seth Rollins is out of the championship match against #1 contender Roman Reigns
The WWE and ESPN have reported that current WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins has torn his MCL and ACL in his right knee. The WWE has already announced that Rollins is out of the championship match against #1 contender Roman Reigns at the next PPV the Survivor Series. A heart breaking injury for Rollins, as he was in the prime of his career and playing a top heel in the business. The WWE has also announced that a tournament will take place at the Survivor Series to determine the new WWE Champion. The competitors for the tournament haven’t been announced yet, but I’m sure it’s safe to say that Roman Reigns who was lined up to face Rollins will get his crack at winning the tournament.
Rollins is expected out of action for 6 to 9 months, but as any who knows sports Injuries especially knees it can take more time than estimated. Rollins who won the WWE title back at WrestleMania 31 when he cashed in his Money in The Bank briefcase is a sort of high flyer. With his Cross fit training, Rollins is very agile in the ring with his kicks and high-flying ability an injury such as this will really have to change his style on wrestling. A look into the past with other wrestlers that have blown out their knees Rey Mysterio, HHH, and even a top diva such as Lita all had their career changed with this kind of injury. Everyone’s body is different, and everyone heels differently, and only time will tell to see what Seth is like when he returns to the ring. A truly devastating injury and all of us here at FightbookMMA.com wish him a speedy recovery, and can’t wait to see him back in action.
