XCC Fighter Of The Week: Ali Armz
Monday February 15, 2016– It is undeniable that this weeks XCC fighter of the week comes from a strong team with UFC Veteran Carmelo Marrero and NJ Gracie owner David Adiv as trainers as well as Kris Gratalo, Ronnie Lavigne, LJ Reboli and recent UFC debuter Mickey Gall as training partners. Having made his amateur debut in 2012, Ali is not new to the fight game and during his time away from the cage has been a constant presence for his team as well as improving himself as a mixed martial artist.
Like many of our fighters Ali juggles a busy schedule as a father of three, soon to be a husband and business owner though still makes time to pursue his passion as a fighter. With fight week upon us a very calm and collect Ali took time out to share some insight of life for him as a fighter.

XCC: With your upcoming wedding in April, how does your fiancee feel about you being a mixed martial artist?
Ali: My fiancee absolutely loves and supports me in this sport. She handles my nutrition and make sure I take care of my body thru yoga.
XCC: What is your greatest strength as a fighter?
Ali: Striking and Footwork.
XCC: Given the chance to compete against fighter, who would you choose and why?
Ali: Whoever has the belt at 155lbs, because being the best I can be is the ultimate goal.
XCC: Does owning your barber shop enable you have more time to train, or does it make it more difficult?
Ali: Both, during the early parts of the week I have plenty time but on the weekends everybody and their mamas need cuts.
XCC: With such a strong team of trainers and teammates behind you, who has been the most influencial to you?
Ali: All of them inspire me in so many ways. I absolutely love my team, they are family to me for sure. Everyone has strengths that I feed off of and can add to my game.
XCC: How will you be rewarding yourself after XCC 23 for your hardwork and dedication to preparing for your fight?
XCC: Anything you would like to say or like your fans, family & friends to know?
Ali: Just that I appreciate everyone for being there for me, believing in me and being so patient the last two years. I will leave everything in the cage for all of you.
In less than four days at XCC 23 Ali Armz will enter the venue for his third amateur MMA fight. Ali will be fighting alongside his teammate LJ Reboli and numerous other talented local fighters February 19th at the National Guard Armory at 2700 Southampton Road in Philadelphia PA.
