Xiaomi presents ROAD FC 028 full Main Card now open

10 January, 2016 –  ROAD Fighting Championship’s next event, Xiaomi presents ROAD FC 028 will be held on 31 January at the Jangchung Gymnasium in Seoul, South Korea. The full Main Card is now open, for a total of five matches topped by Riki Fukuda’s Middleweight Championship defense against Cha Jung-Hwan.

As previously announced, the Co-Main Event for the first show of 2016 will be top contender and ROAD FC stalwart Moon Jea-Hoon taking on Shooto Pacific Rim Champion Nezu Yuta.

Xiaomi presents ROAD FC 028 Man Card will kick off with a delightful showdown of two men looking to find their footing in the featherweight division: Cho Byeong-Oak (SSABI MMA) versus Kim Hyung-Su (Kim Dae Hwan MMA).  Both Cho and Kim have proven they own a diverse set of tools including heavy punches, takedowns and aggression.  Cho’s last win saw him outwork his opponent in every way to earn the decision.  Kim’s debut with ROAD FC gave him a stunning comeback win, which followed his first fight when he took on transitioning world famous grappler Kron Gracie – because no one else would.  Cho versus Kim will start off the Main Card with a bang!

In the second match of the night, the women are graced with the spotlight as returning rookie Park Jeong-Eun (Team Strong Wolf) faces debutant Liu Xiaoni (Xi’an Sports University).  Park made her MMA debut in 2015 with a background in Sambo.  At just 18 years of age, she faced two of Japan’s best back-to-back, Emi Fujino and Satomi Takano, and went the distance with both.  Liu is now making her professional MMA transition from Sanda at the prestigious Xi’an Sports University.  This Korea versus China match is going to show the incredible new wave of MMA stars developing from both countries!

The third match at Xiaomi presents ROAD FC 028 will also be Korea versus China, and Kwon Min-Seok (Apgujeong Gym) faces Alatengheili (Team Alateng) in the bantamweight division.  While Kwon is only 1-0 in MMA, his prior professional career was kickboxing in K-1 and RISE.  He cultivated an interest in MMA and gained the attention of a nation on the television show “Crying Fist”. Alatengheili is a very accomplished journeyman who went the distance with former ROAD FC Flyweight Champ Jo Nam-Jin, then finished former URCC Champ Jessie Rafols in his last outing.  Kwon versus Alatenghei will bring to very experienced fighters together and sparks should fly!

ROAD FC is the stage where legends shine, rookies thrill, and epic battles are waged that determine the future of MMA. From the pageantry of the grand entrance to the final crunch of the KO, ROAD FC showcases the very best of Mixed Martial Arts sports and entertainment. As we say in Korea, “Fighting!”
