2024 Gamma Worlds: Results For U18s Day 2 And Finals Matches Schedule

Banten – The Global Association of Mixed Martial Arts’ 2024 World Championships progressed with its second day of U18s competition today at the Dewa MMA Arena in Banten, Indonesia.

See below for the Matches Results across two fields of play, where U18s and U16s competed in the MMA Arena and all U14s on the tatami, as well as the Matches Schedule for tomorrow’s U18s Finals.

On the Tatami, Oliver Trallero of Spain, stood out in the boys U12s -34kg category in one of the matches of the day for the younger age groups. Trallero was ultimately awarded a unanimous decision over Uzbekistan’s Rahimov Numonjon following acompetitive exchange. Another highlight bout on the mat saw Ukraine’s Kristina Volkova score a 40 second submission.

In the MMA Arena, 2023 World Champion Leonid Reyna ( USA) lost to Nazar Bilyi by an impressive submission just 25 seconds into the first round in the U16s 54kg division. 

GAMMA’s other Athletes to Watch fared well with 2024 European gold medallist Daniil Chernetsky winning in his second day of competition in the U18s at -74.9kg with unanimous decision victory over Australia’s Blake Maryska.

2024’s Polish European gold medallist, Oliwier Przerwa fought in his third bout in the 70.3kg category to victory over Kazakhstan’s Yeraly Ordabayev by submission.

In the U18s 70.3kgs, 2024 Pan Am Gold medallist James Weaver of USA inched a split decision win over Ukrainian Bubniak Serhii. In the same age group but at -65kg,team mate 2023 World Champion Maxwell Stary (USA) [pictured above] claimed a more authoritative unananimous decision victory over Adil Aktleu of Kazakhstan.

Also through to the finals in the U16s is 2024 European gold medallist Matyas Gruber of Czech Republic at -62kg, by way of a decisive submission 49 seconds into the second round.

One other notable competitor to watch out for in the U18s Finals is Gabriela Majerčáková of Slovakia, with accolades that include 2024 GAMMA European silver, 2023 GAMMA world bronze and 2022 GAMMA USA world silver medallist.

Top matches picks for tomorrow in the U18s are Maxwell Stary (USA) vs world silver medallist Amir Serik (KAZ) at 65.8kg and Oliwier Przewa (POL) vs James Weaver (USA) at 70.3kg.
