78 Nations Set for GAMMA World Championships in Indonesia: An International MMA Extravaganza
Amsterdam – The GAMMA 2024 World Championships hits Banten’s Dewa MMA Arena in Indonesia next month for the Global Association of Mixed Martial Arts’ flagship senior and under-18s tournaments from 6 to 14 December.
Hosted by GAMMA’s representative for Indonesia, PB PERTICAMI, the amateur rules tournaments will be held under the auspices of the Indonesian Olympic Committee, in another boost to GAMMA’s vision for international sport recognition, following its participation in the 2023 African Games in Accra earlier this year and the partaking of its members in the last Asian Games.
More than 500 athletes representing 78 countries from across 5 continents are set to compete for GAMMA’s prestigious gold, silver and bronze medals. With athlete registration closing on 8 November, nations set to take part are:
Algeria, Argentina, Armenia, Aruba, Australia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Belize, Benin, Brazil, Burkina Faso, Canada, Cambodia, China, Cook Islands, Croatia, Curacao, Czech Republic, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Egypt, France, Gabon, Gambia, Germany, Greece, Guinea, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Iran, Ireland, Italy, Ivory Coast, Kazakhstan, Korea, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lebanon, Libya, Madagascar, Malaysia, Mauritius, Mexico, Moldova, Nepal, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Nigeria, Netherlands, Panama, Paraguay, Pakistan, Philippines, Poland, Russia, Samoa, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Slovakia, South Africa, Spain, Sudan, Sweden, Thailand, Togo, Tonga, Timor Leste, Trinidad and Tobago, Tunisia, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Uganda, Ukraine, Uruguay, USA and Uzbekistan.
The Championships will be broadcast live internationally (with full information to follow), and arena tickets will go on sale this week.
