Al-Selwady predicts upset victory for Boudegzdame at Brave 22
Brave Lightweight champion Abdul-Kareem Al-Selwady has been known as a rising star in and out of the cage, as he was praised for his commentary duties during Brave 21. And he was keen to get his opinion on who has the advantage coming into the promotion’s first show of the new year.
At Brave 22, Bantamweight champion Stephen Loman will go for his third title defense against Elias Boudegzdame. Al-Selwady gives the edge to the former Featherweight champion, who will drop down to his natural weight class to challenge the Filipino star, who’s fighting at home for the first time.
“This is going to be an explosive fight. Elias has really good combinations on his stand-up, really slick submissions on the ground. Stephen has good wrestling and cardio, hard punches. And even though he’s at Bantamweight for a while, I think he’s the bigger guy, more physically strong. But Elias is very slick, very quick. If I had to pick, I’d say Elias wins this fight. He also has great cardio and he’s very efficient with his movements. Loman is strong but can be slow with his single punches” analyzed the champ.
Brave 22 will mark the first time Brave Combat Federations holds an event in the Philippines. The historic show will take place on March 15th, at the iconic Mall of Asia Arena, in Manila, and promises to be groundbreaking, with the country’s finest fighters going against Brave’s international stars.
