Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu World Champion Mackenzie Dern Wins Her MMA Debut on ‘AXS TV FIGHTS: LEGACY FIGHTING CHAMPIONSHIP 58’

Saturday July 23,2016 BJJ was the theme for the event from Legacy Fights. In the main event, BJJ World Champion Robert Drysdales showed everyone why his is the world champion by submitting Ryan Spann in round 2. He remains undefeated in MMA and is the new Legacy Light Heavyweight Champion.

Josh Quayhagen and Rey Trujillo took us through 3 rounds of insane action with great ground work and quick striking. Quayhagen pulled it out in the end winning via unanimous decision in his hometown.

MacKenzie Dern won her professional MMA debut via unanimous decision over the resilient Kenia Rosas. The quickest finish of the night goes to Matt Mooney who finished Gage Duhon in 14 seconds via armbar.

  • Lightweight Fight – Matt Mooney (5-2) landed an armbar 14 seconds into the first round to defeat Gage Duhon (7-3).
  • Middleweight Fight – Brendan Allen (4-1) scored a submission victory over CJ Hancock (2-1) at 1:54 in round two.
