BREAKING: Bare Knuckle FC Signs Anthony ‘Rumble’ Johnson, Announced Five PPV Dates and Locations
At Bare Knuckle FC 4 in Cancun, Mexico, during the PPV portion of the night, David Feldman, President of BKFC broke news that the promotion has signed former UFC title challenger, Anthony ‘Rumble’ Johnson.
22-6 in MMA, Johnson retired from mixed martial arts on April 8, 2017 after suffering a loss to now former double-champion, Daniel Cormier. Since then, ‘Rumble’ has been out of combat action, but still active in the fitness industry, working with RedCon1.
Johnson says he’s currently focused on the growth of Bare Knuckle Boxing, and more specifically BKFC. The UFC vet has been at the host resort of BKFC 4: USA vs. Mexico for a good portion of fight week.
Per Ariel Helwani:
Regarding Rumble Johnson signing with Bare Knuckle FC, according to his manager Ali Abdelaziz, Johnson isn’t fighting for them. It’s an ambassador type of role. He’s still under contract with UFC.

It seems as though, at least for now, when ‘Rumble’ retired from competing, he meant it. His focus will be on the growth of the sport, not towards fighting.
Also announced during the BKFC 4 PPV, the promotion has dates and locations for their next five events:
Manchester, NH – April 6th
Biloki, MS – April 20th
Cheyenne, WY – June 1st
London, England – July 27th
Mexico City – August 24th
Feldman also mentioned that the promotion were planning an event “down under”, referring to Australia later this year. More news on that to come.
