Caged Steel 26: Adam Bramhald vs Cyrus Besharate set for August 21

FightBook MMA and Caged Steel MMA are back to working together and what an exciting event the promotion has in store for all the fight fans. The promotion will be hosting Caged Steel 26: Adam Bramhald vs  Cyrus Besharate.

It’s been well over a year since the last show, which took place back in March of 2020. What a reunion they have planned for August 21st. You need to be there. This fight card is something special!

As always you can expect an action-packed show. Kicking off from 18:00 with preliminary amateur fights also showcasing some big title bouts in there too. We’re then leading onto the main card which features some of the best up-and-coming professional athletes from all over the UK. This is a show not to be missed!

LAST TIME AT CAGED STEEL…

Gradually we’re beginning to see life return to normal following these unprecedented times with Coronavirus sadly bringing the world to hold. Once again – we know it’s been challenging for everyone and we’ve definitely been hit hard. Back in April, we took a huge gamble for the UK MMA athletes by holding a ‘behind closed doors’ event for Caged Steel 25. Many athletes were dropping out of the ranks due to inactivity – we couldn’t let all their hard work go to waste. So we did our best to give a select few in the country the opportunity to maintain activity and hopefully improve their record too.

The Caged Steel Boss, Dominic Gibbs, regularly mentions this being the most difficult show we’ve ever hosted. We wanted to do everything right to protect our athletes and staff, so followed all guidelines set by the government, Sheffield Council, and the Police. By doing so, we successfully hosted the event with no rise in COVID cases and maintained athlete activity for over 40 of the UK’s top athletes. We’re proud to say this was recognized by a huge majority of the UK MMA community.

WE’RE DEAD EXCITED. HERE’S THE MAIN CARD…

We all enjoyed seeing the athletes back in action, but we really missed having you all there! Finally, we can have the best night out this August. We’ve got really exciting fights in store for Caged Steel 26. We can guarantee you will not be disappointed.

Starting with the main event, this is an explosive European Title fight between Golden Contract holder and current reigning Champion, Adam Bramhald against the ‘Persian Pride’ that is, Cyrus BesharateAdam is impressively ranked 13th in the UK and Ireland, hailing a 10-2 fight record and maintaining an 8 win fight streak. Right now, he’s untouchable! He’s finished his opponents in a variety of methods, proving he’s a well-rounded athlete. He’s not going to give all this up to Cyrus. This is a big moment for Cyrus as he returns to the MMA scene. The last time he stepped into the cage was in 2014 on BAMMA a former UK MMA promotion. He postponed his professional career leading a strong 5-1 fight record and plans to return and prove that he’s still got what it takes and that he’s worthy of being a champion! Big fight to end the show on.

We’re excited to welcome back more professional athletes from around the UK. Featuring some familiar faces, such as; Louis Lee ScottSebastian SrokaJames Power, Umakhan Ibragimov, and ready to make their long awaited professional debuts, Jack Comby and Kai Holmes.

We’re also giving a warm welcome to our orange canvas for the first time, Matty ByfieldLewis TamsAmmari Diedrick, and Sam Bird. More athletes are set to make an appearance. To see the fight card head to the Caged Steel 26 event page and vote for your winners.

STARTING THE NIGHTS ACTION…

Prior to the Main Card, you can also expect an intense preliminary card. Fighting for the Caged Steel British Featherweight Title – a strong contender for fight of the night – Mujjy Ahmed vs Musa Christian! Those who follow both athletes know what a big deal this is for UK MMA. Two massive prospects prepare to go head to head. The desire is to gain the Caged Steel title accolade before moving onto the professional ranks. This fight could go either way. Mujjy holds an undefeated 4-0 record, Musa will be his toughest fight to date. Likewise for Musa, even though Mujjy isn’t as experienced as his 9-2 record, Mujjy’s skillset is one of the finest seen in UK MMA. This is a war not to be missed! You can bet the roof will be lifted when these guys go toe to toe.

Our preliminary card features loads of closely matched fights too. These guys and girls are the next breeds in UK MMA talent. We’re proud to give them the opportunity to fight in front of such an amazing crowd. Look forward to watching the likes of Stafford Swainston, Amy Derwanz, Ben Fahey, and Robert Ionescu who are returning to put on a show against athletes who are to step into our cage for the first time; Aaron Givens, Charlotte Cooper, Eddie Clarke, and Sami Hoque.
