A middleweight pairing between Mountmellick native, the #6 ranked, Charlie ‘Relentless’ Ward, and the undefeated #9 rated, ‘Magic’ Norbert Novenyi Jr. has been added to Bellator Dublin on November 5. from the 3Arena in Dublin, Ireland.

40-year-old Laois veteran, Charlie Ward returns for the first time since a Bellator Milan 3 unanimous decision victory against Andy Manzolo in October of last year. The unanimous judging victory came as Ward’s second straight success.

For unbeaten, London Shootfighters staple, Novenyi Jr. — the emerging prospect managed to lodge his fifth consecutive professional victory at Bellator 247 also in Milan, Italy last October — taking home a first round triangle victory over France’s Laid Zerhouni. The pairing of Ward and Novenyi Jr. was confirmed in a Bellator MMA press release this evening.

Set for his eighth walk under the Scott Coker-led Bellator banner, Ward, a staple of Straight Blast Gym Ireland — has so far established an eye-catching 6-1 record in the organization following a two-fight run in the UFC which featured a pair of knockout blemishes against both Abdul Razak Alhassan and Galore Bafondo.
In his sole Bellator loss, Ward dropped a unanimous decision defeat against Pietro Penini Jr. at Bellator London 2 in November 2019.

9-4 as a professional from 13 outings, the Laois knockout threat has scored an impressive six knockout victories, besting John Redmond, Martin Hudson, Jamie Stephenson, Justin Moore, and Kyle Kurtz via knockout during his Bellator tenure.

Competing for Bellator in four of his five professional outings, Hungarian finisher, Novenyi Jr. has taken submission stoppages in three of those four walks.

The middleweight prospect has bested the likes of Mehmet Yueksei, William Lavine, and the aforenoted, Zerhouni with submission wins — and managed a unanimous decision victory over Ward’s teammate and now-Bellator alum, Will Fleury back in September 2019 in Dublin.

Bellator Dublin takes place on November 5. from the 3Arena in Dublin, Ireland — and features a reworked bantamweight headliner between streaking submission ace, James Gallagher and one-time title challenger, recent Xtreme Couture mover, Patchy Mix.
