CARDIFF, WALES – WBC/WBA/IBF Middleweight World Champion Claressa “G.W.O.A.T.” Shields and unbeaten top-rated challenger Ema Kozin hit the scales Friday, weighing-in and facing off for the final time before they square off in the ring this Saturday, February 5 live from Cardiff, Wales in an event available in the U.S. and Canada on pay-per-view.
Shields tipped the scales at 159 pounds, while Kozin weighed in at 159.5 pounds, officially making weight for their championship clash.
The pay-per-view event begins at 3 p.m. ET/12 p.m. PT and is headlined by U.K. middleweight stars Chris Eubank Jr. and Liam Williams squaring off in the main event. Shields vs. Kozin will serve as the co-main event of the lineup.
Shields vs. Kozin is the first in a lucrative multi-fight deal secured by Salita Promotions for Shields with promoter Boxxer and broadcaster SKY Sports in the U.K. If Shields emerges victorious over Kozin, she can set up a long awaited showdown against WBO Middleweight World Champion Savannah Marshall. Marshall owns an amateur victory over Shields, the only boxing defeat Shields has ever suffered in the amateur or pro ranks.
