Dana White trying to make Jones vs. Gustafsson 2 for UFC 232

UFC 232 will take place on Saturday December 29, 2018 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The main event will be live on PPV.

UFC President Dana White is trying to set up a rematch between Jon Jones and Alexander Gustafsson. The last time these two meet in the cage was when Jones beat Gustafsson back in 2013 via unanimous decision at UFC 165.

As previously announced, USADA announced that an independent arbitrator has rendered a decision in the case of Jon Jones and determined that he should receive a 15-month sanction for his second violation of the UFC Anti-Doping Policy. To read more about this you can go here.

White stated in a text message sent to ESPN.com’s Brett Okamoto:

“It’s one of the greatest light heavyweight title fights in history, and I expect the rematch to be the same!!!!”

At this event we will see a fight between Cris Cyborg (20-1-0) and Amanda Nunes (16-4-0) as they fight for the featherweight title. Corey Anderson (11-4-0) will take on Ilir Latifi (14-5-0) and B.J. Penn (16-10-2) returns to the octagon to face Ryan Hall (5-1-0). Also scheduled on the card we have Arnold Allen (13-1-0) as he takes on Gilbert Melendez (22-6-0).

Stay tuned as FightBookMMA will have more information regarding this fight card and when we will see Jon Jones come back to the octagon.
