Derik Scott is establishing himself as one of the most exciting fighters under the Shamrock FC banner. FightBook MMA spoke with him about life in isolation and what’s next for the fighting attorney.
How have you been holding up in isolation?
I almost feel bad saying it, but I’m loving life. Very grateful for my brothers, my amazing legal position, and the fact I have a gym in my house and a built in training partner in “The Gladiator” Shaun Scott. Isolation has been a blessing for me.
How excited are you to get back in the cage? Is this fight going to be more special for you, given the circumstances?
I always have a zest for everything I do. I love fighting and it’s a piece of who I am. Just very grateful to be able to do the things I do.
What’s the ideal finish for this next one?
DOWN GOES FRASIER! The bigger, the better. The hotter the heat, the harder the steal. I always want a big KO or big finish.
At 4-0, what would be next?
Life is always an adventure for me. I have a ton of stuff in the pipeline, but I’m ready for big opportunities.
Were would you like to be one year from today?
On the river with my brothers with all of us happy, content, and enjoying life — preferably having crushed our enemies, see them driven before us, and having heard the lamentations of their women!
