Full Card Announced for BKB 41: Brawl in Duval II

Jacksonville, FL – BKB Bare Knuckle Boxing today announced the full card for May 31’s BKB 41: Brawl in Duval II at the Prime Osborne Center in Jacksonville, Florida.

Headlining the card will be a matchup between 7-2 Jarod “Kid Gatti” Grant (Hollywood, FL) against undefeated Rawand Ouba (Oslo, Norway by way of Tripoli, Libya) for the BKB Interim Lightweight Championship. 

In the co-main event, Robert Duran, Jr. (Miami, FL), son of former four-division champion Roberto Duran, will take on Rolando Dy (Dasmariñas, Cavite, Philippines), son of former WBC Super Featherweight champion Rolando Navarrete. Duran, a veteran of sixteen professional boxing matches, is 2-1 in his young bare knuckle career and currently ranked fourth in the BKB Super Welterweight rankings. Dy, a UFC veteran and former UAE Warriors Featherweight champion is 3-1 in bare knuckle and the fifth-ranked BKB Super Welterweight.

Also fighting on the card are four former BKB bare knuckle world champions as former Heavyweight champion DJ Linderman takes on Terrell Woods; former featherweight champion Brandon Birr faces rising star Yampier Ramirez, former Super Middleweight champion Jose Fernandez faces Jordan Nash; and former Lightweight champion Monica Medina takes on Brazil’s Lailane Mota.  

Plus, former Super Middleweight and Light Heavyweight contender Ryan Jett goes toe-to-toe with Tommy Aaron in the main card opener. 

The event will be broadcast on VICE TV in the US and Canada at 8 PM ET and live outside of North America on TalkSport.  Prelims will start at 7 PM.

  • Tommy Aaron vs. Ryan Jett

The card was originally to be headlined by Heavyweight champion Gustavo Trujillo defending his title against Poland’s Kamil Sokolowski and Super Cruiserweight champion Marko Martinjak defending his against Yordan Fuentes.  Those fights have been postponed due to travel issues and injury, respectively.  

In the past two years, BKB (originally BYB) has purchased the UK-based BKB, the world’s oldest professional bare knuckle boxing company, and in doing so merged the organizations to create the largest bare knuckle boxing company in the world in terms of roster, library and distribution; ushered in ethical and legalized gambling to the sport; acquired the rights to the historic and prestigious Police Gazette Diamond Belt which now serves as the Bare Knuckle Boxing World Championship; and brought bare knuckle boxing to lineal television in the United States with the recent deal with VICE TV.

In addition to the largest roster of fighters across the globe, BKB boasts a who’s who of broadcast talent on both sides of the Atlantic.
