Heavy Duty Fight Management Expands Board Of Directors

LONDON, United Kingdom – Heavy Duty Fight Management is taking things to the next level as it shakes up its Board of Directors. New members have been appointed and big changes are afoot.
The UK based sports management company has chosen the best in the combat sport industry to join its executive panel. Jason Van Schalkwyk is to be the new CEO. Van Schalkwyk is the founder and CEO of Scuffle Holdings – a growing conglomerate with representation in Africa, Middle East, South America, Europe, and Asia.
“I am extremely pleased that Jason has agreed to take on the role of CEO,” says Carl Messen, the director of HD Fight Management. “He has extensive knowledge of both business and the sports industry with an excellent track record.”
The appointment comes after the recent partnership announcement between Scuffle Sports Management and HD Fight Management. When asked about his new role, Van Schalkwyk describes it as “a global strategy to increase the exposure of HD Fight Management, especially into regions like Africa and the Middle East. It’s about building the best version of the expanded company with more additions and defined roles.”
A clearly defined role is the one undertaken by Ricky Shock. Shock has been appointed to serve as Head of Global Sponsorships, where he will be tasked with attracting sponsorships for athletes & building supportive, long-term global partnerships.
He will serve alongside Daren Morris – Head of Athlete Development covering UK & Africa. Morris will be expected to see the training & development of athletes through the 4 Corners/ASW facility in Liverpool, England to continue to send the best UK & African athletes to all the major global promotions.
Paul Reed takes up the role as Head of Athlete Performance. Reed, whose performance-leading company Vortex CSP will continue to help improve the performance of our athletes from the amateur level up to elite professionals.
It takes inspired leadership for fighters to reach the highest levels of success in combat sports. HD Fight Management is certainly building the best team for the task with these esteemed additions.
