James Gallagher will face off with ex UFC fighter Roman Salazarin (13-9) in a catchweight (140lbs) fight that will remain the main event at the 3Arena Dublin on September 27th. First reported by MMAFighting.com’s by Peter Carroll.
Salazarin last fight was at LFA 72 where he lost a split decision to Mario Israel (11-4) back in July. Roman was signed to the UFC back in 2014 where he was pitted against Mitch Gagnon (12-5) at UFC Fight Night 54 where he lost via RNC in Round 1 of the fight. Salazarin fought two more times for the company racking up one no-contest against Norifumi Yamamoto at UFC 184 then another loss at the hands of Marlon Vera at UFC Fight Night 73. This would be the last time Roman would fight for the UFC. Since then he has had fights for Combate Americas, Iron Boy MMA.
This will be the toughest test that Roman will have had since the UFC days. Coming to Irelands capital City to Face one of its own is not easy at the best of times, but to take the fight on short notice could be a step too much for the Arizona native
