Scott Jorgensen was prepared to fight Henry Cejudo on the prelims of UFC 177: Dillashaw vs. Barao 2 (later added to Soto). And, in what seemed to be the trend on that particular event Cejudo couldn’t make weight, so he withdrew leaving Mr. Jorgensen with no opponent and off the fight card entirely. It was a shame for Scott, see as he is on the outside looking in at the top of the flyweight division.
But don’t mourn for Jorgensen too long, he has some new business coming up in October, that business being with Wilson Reis. The two will square off in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on the undercard of the event headlined by the second bout between Jose Aldo and Chad Mendes for the UFC Featherweight title.
Jorgensen who had been hoping to get a rematch with Jussier Formiga, after their fight ended in controversy in March on the undercard of Shogun vs. Henderson 2 earlier this year. That will have to wait a little bit longer as a fight with Wilson Reis now occupies his time.
Wilson Reis is looking to win his second UFC fight in a row; he defeated Joby Sanchez in August at UFC Fight Night: Henderson vs. dos Anjos.
