Kay Hansen parts ways with UFC

The UFC has opted not to re-sign the 22-year-old Kay Hansen following her recent loss to Piera Rodriguez at UFC 273.
Hansen (7-6) lost her last three fights by unanimous decisions against Cory McKenna, Jasmine Jasudavicius, and Rodriguez. Hansen won her UFC debut against Jinh Yu Frey winning by Triangle-Armbar at UFC Fight Night: Poirier vs. Hooker. Hansen began her professional career in 2017 under the Invicta FC banner where she has a 6-3 record.
Hansen wrote after her post-fight at UFC 273 that she was “extremely heartbroken” by the loss but did say she will be back. She then followed that statement up with a post on her IG on Wednesday: “22 years young. My career is just getting started.”
