Kevin “Two Guns” Lerena headlines DECEMBER DETONATION on Dec. 19

New York, NY – Tune in TOMORROW at 12:15pm ET/9:15am PT to catch South African cruiserweight southpaw Kevin “Two Guns” Lerena (25-1, 12 KOs) headline DECEMBER DETONATION, streamed live on UFC FIGHT PASS®, the world’s leading digital subscription service for combat sports. Lerena will defend his IBO cruiserweight title against Patrick Ferguson (17-2-1, 13 KOs) in a 12-round championship contest.

In his first fight co-promoted by DiBella Entertainment and Golden Gloves South Africa, Lerena will defend his IBO strap for the seventh time. He is also rated #2 by the WBA, #3 by the IBF, and #4 by The Ring at cruiserweight, as well as #3 by the WBC in their new bridgerweight division. Ferguson, from Spokane, WA, is riding a three-fight winning streak, following two close decision losses in 2019. He previously held the WBC USNBC title and was a touted US National champion as an amateur.

The UFC Fight Pass undercard will include two additional title fights featuring local stars from Gauteng, South Africa. In a 10-round welterweight clash, Jabulani Makhense (10-0, 5 KOs), a two-division African titleholder from Pretoria, Gauteng, will defend his WBA Pan African belt against Mardochee Kuvesa Katembo (13-3-1), of Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo.

Opening up the stream, 22-year-old power-puncher Roarke Knapp (10-1-1, 8 KOs), from Edenvale, Gauteng, will vie for the vacant IBO Youth super welterweight title against Soweto, Gauteng’s undefeated Simon Dladla (6-0, 5 KOs) in a 10-round contest.
