Brave Combat Federation has been forced to alter its main event for Brave 20, set for Hyderabad, India, on November 22nd. Middleweight Leon Aliu has pulled out due to an undisclosed injury and American wrestler Sidney Wheeler will now take on Khamzat Chimaev in the most important bout of the promotion’s second trip to India.
Chimaev, a Sweden representative who fights out of Allstar Sports, made waves in his debut for Brave CF as he overwhelmed Marko Kisic to score a first-round TKO back at Brave 18. He will make the jump up to Middleweight on short notice for the most important fight of his young career. Chimaev is 3-0 so far as a professional.
Meanwhile, Wheeler will be making his debut at Middleweight after having trouble making the welterweight limit in his last fights. The American fighter is 1-1 with Brave, winning his debut fight with the promotion in a battle against Pawel Kielek and suffering a TKO loss to Abdoul Abdouraguimov back at Brave 14, in Morocco.
Brave 20 will mark the second time Brave has landed in India and will feature some of the most exciting fighters in the promotion’s roster. Aside from an explosive main event, Brave 20 will also welcome the return of New Zealand’s John Brewin, who takes on dangerous newcomer Anas Siraj Mounir. Meanwhile, Jalal Al Daaja will look to become the next contender for Stephen Loman’s Bantamweight title as he faces Khantara Shankar, and Micol di Segni looks for a victorious debut against Maria Ribeiro in a women’s strawweight bout.
