King Mo Lawal has signed a new long-term-extension with Bellator MMA.
The specifics of the deal are not yet known, but what is for certain is that Lawal will be plying his trade inside of the Bellator cage for years to come.
Regarding the extension, Lawal was quoted as saying….
“This was one of the easiest decisions I could have made, After everything that went down over the last six or seven months, I didn’t think this was something that would ever happen, but when Coker came on board with Bellator, everything changed. This is where I want to be. I don’t care who I fight, when it is, or where it is. I get paid to fight, and that’s what I’m going to do for Bellator. That’s it.”
The former Strikeforce Light Heavyweight Champion and Mayweather Boxing Club product is currently preparing for his September 5th encounter with Dustin Jacoby at Bellator 123 which takes place at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Connecticut on September 5th and will be broadcast LIVE and FREE on Spike TV.
Currently 4-3 inside of the Bellator Cage, holding victories over Seth Petruzelli, Mikhail Zayats, Jacob Noe and Przemyslaw Mysiala, Lawal is most recently coming off of a close split decision loss to former UFC light heavyweight champion Quinton Rampage Jackson in May at Bellator 120 in what was a highly anticipated grudge match, and Lawal has made it no secret that a rematch is something that he would be open to, but first things first, he must take care of Dustin Jacoby next Friday night.
