KSW 70: Pudzian vs. Materla set for May 28

Two of the biggest stars ever in European MMA will clash as five-time world’s strongest man Mariusz Pudzianowski (16-7) meets former KSW middleweight champion Michal Materla (31-8) in the main event of KSW 70 on May 28 at the Atlas Arena in Lodz, Poland.
Both men are credited with having a major impact on the growth of KSW and are sporting icons in their native Poland.
After becoming the most successful strongman in the history of the sport, Pudzianowski turned his focus to MMA in 2009. Since then, he has had enjoyed several notable wins over combat sports veterans such as Butterbean, Bob Sapp, Oli Thompson, Sean McCorkle, & Rolles Gracie.
The 45-year-old is currently on a four-fight win streak and comes into this contest having KO’d the great ‘Bombardier’ in less than twenty seconds at KSW 64 in October.
With a much different sporting background, Michal Materla made his KSW debut in 2006. During his career, he had great success over many European & international MMA stars including Kendall Grove, Rodney Wallace, Tomasz Drwal, Paulo Thiago, Rousimar Palhares, and Jay Silva. He won the KSW middleweight championship at KSW 19 and defended the title four times until he dropped it to Mamed Khalidov at KSW 33.
Since then, the 38-year-old has only lost to Scott Askham and Roberto Soldic and is currently on a 4-1 run.
Now is the time both legends challenge themselves against one another in this KSW superfight scheduled to take place at heavyweight.
Legend vs. Legend. Pudzian vs. Materla. It is happening!
