The KSW lightweight title will be on the line as the defending champion Marian Ziolkowski (24-8-1) welcomes the challenge of Sebastian Rajewski (12-6) in the main event of KSW 71 on June 18 in Torun, Poland.
Ziolkowski won the vacant title at KSW 57 at the end of 2020 with a remarkable TKO win over Roman Szymanski and has since defended the belt twice with two further stellar performances. Now he faces Sebastian Rajewski, a lifelong martial artist who is on his own three-fight win-streak which includes wins over UFC veteran Niklas Backstrom & former KSW champ Artur Sowinski.
In the co-main event, a KSW legend returns to the promotion after five years away. Marcin Rozalski (7-4 MMA), the former KSW heavyweight champ, will once again step back into the KSW arena and will face kickboxing legend Errol Zimmerman (103-13 kickboxing) in a special mixed rules bout. The fight will be K1 contested in MMA gloves and is scheduled for three five-minute rounds.
The last time we saw Rozalski in action in KSW was at the historic KSW 39 card where he won the KSW heavyweight title with a 16-second knockout in front of almost 58,000 people, he has since fought Peter Graham in kickboxing and Josh Barnett in a bare-knuckle bout.
Zimmerman is one of the most accomplished heavyweight kickboxers of our time and holds wins over the likes of Rico Verhoeven, Hesdy Gerges, Stefan Leko, and Jerome LeBanner. He is a K-1 and Glory heavyweight title contender and K-1 & SuperKombat tournament champion.
