LFA 198 Weigh-in Results – Miranda vs. Oyarzún

COMMERCE, California — On Thursday, December 5th, LFA hosted the weigh-in for LFA 198: Miranda vs. Oyarzún from The Commerce Casino & Hotel in Commerce, California, which is located in southeast Los Angeles County. The main event will feature a Lightweight Showdown between top American prospect Richie “El Machete” Miranda (9-1) and top Chilean prospect Hugo “La Máquina” Oyarzún (8-3). The co-main event will feature a Women’s Bantamweight Showdown between IBJJF Hall of Fame member Bia “BJJ Lady GOAT” Mesquita (2-0) and Judo black belt Fernanda “Ferocious” Araujo (2-4).

LFA 198, presented by MONSTER ENERGY, will feature veteran MMA commentator Ron Kruck who will be joined in the booth by former UFC star, RFA great, and UFC on ESPN analyst Alan “Brahma” Jouban. The Brazilian-Portuguese commentary team will consist of Brazilian media personality Tiago Pamplona, who will work alongside UFC star Tainara “Thai Panther” Lisboa. They will call the action live inside The Commerce Casino & Hotel in Commerce, California. The main card will be available tomorrow night LIVE on UFC FIGHT PASS®  at 10 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. PT.

The Featherweight Title Unification Bout between champion Elijah “Baby” Johns and interim Lerryan “Dougie” Dogulas has been postponed. This happened after Johns withdrew from the bout due to illness during Fight Week. Every fighter competing tomorrow made their contracted weight when they stepped on the scale. LFA 198 will proceed with nine bouts, which includes the Lightweight Showdown at the top of the card.
