Darian Weeks is quickly establishing himself as a young fighter to watch at 170 pounds. This week, he tries to improve to 5-0 against Craig Fairley at LFA 99 on UFC Fight Pass. Before that, we spoke with Darian.
What would you like fans to know about you?
Fans should know that I am there to fight, no matter the opponent, no matter the circumstance, and fans should expect just that — a fight.
How big of an opportunity is this fight for you?
Every fight I believe is a big opportunity because it gets you closer to your goal a step at a time so I take every opportunity to be a big one.
How do you see this one playing out?
I always go in and work my game, stick to my skill set and I have come out on top. I will do the same in this one. I am a dominant presence in the cage and it will be on full display.
Where would you like to be a year from today?
A year from today I would like to be at the highest level of MMA competing against the best and dominating.
How would you like to be remembered as a fighter?
In this sport I would like to be remembered as the man who left his impression on the sport, who changed the face of the game by humbly smashing the competition, at the same time being an example of strong faith and willpower for younger generations.
