Nemesis Fighting Alliance: This is War set for Saturday, June 22; Jordan Dowdy takes on Kevin Brown Jr. as headliner

St. Louis, MO- Nemesis Fighting Alliance makes its return to the Casa Loma Ballroom Saturday, June 22^ndwith “This is War”. Three titles will be on the line in what is sure to be an exciting card. In the Main-Event Eric Ellington (6-1) takes on Will Shutt (23-28-1). Ellington the East St. Louis native will look to continue his momentum having won four of his last five. Shutt the fifty-two-fight veteran looks to get back in the win column having lost his last five. Since his defeat to Miles Johns back at Legacy Fighting Alliance 40, Ellington has been on a mission and adding hardware is a good place to start. Look for this fight to be fast-paced and heavy-handed.

The Co-Main Event will feature Middleweights as Jordan Dowdy (7-4) matches up with Kevin Brown Jr. (5-6). Dowdy a Hit Squad product Is on a tear winning his last three and may very well be the nicest guy outside of the cage that I have ever come across. Brown has won five of his last six. This fight could end anywhere so don’t blink. Brown asks for this fight specifically, so it will be interesting to see how each fighter will handle that.

Kickboxing will be on display as Drew Gigax squares off with Hero Vincent at Welterweight. Kicks of plenty will be the main course for this matchup will Vincent’s length be a factor? That remains to be seen but this will be a good one.

Lightweight action featuring Josh Augustine (1-0) going to battle with Tremier Hollie (0-1), Augustine will try to get his second straight professional win inside the NFA cage. Hollie will look to play spoiler and pick up his first win as a professional. Both are still getting their feet wet as professionals and will be looking to prove something and that makes this showdown exciting.

Kicking off the Pro side of the card will be Justin Lankford (1-0) and KeMonjea Jones (0-1). The fun to watch Lankford will try to stay unbeaten and Jones will try and get in the win column. Lankford’s style always makes for always interesting fights and I would expect nothing less in this one.

The headliner for the Amateur portion of the card will feature Orlando Sanders (5-0) defending the NFA Welterweight title against Chuckie Brooks (6-2). Sanders who has some amazing wrestling will probably look to use that against the power of Brooks. Stylistically this is a fight of the night type of throwdown.

The Featherweight title will be on the line as Sebastian Grant (3-2) and Keagan Irish (3-0) go to battle. Grant who has primarily been in the boxing ring will step back into the cage for the first time since May of 2017. Irish on the other hand has picked up his wins every two months will this play a factor? It may or it may not but who will want that strap more?

I had the chance to catch up with NFA’s Marlene Kelly and ask her what fans can expect come Saturday night?

“Fans can expect improvement from our last show. We take steps each show to improve the fan experience, fighter experience, and overall experience of each show. We have open weigh-ins at Dave and Buster’s at 6:30 p.m. on Friday and it’s a great family atmosphere.” Kelly said.
