Official 2022 PFL Playoffs Card Weigh-in Results

CARDIFF, WALES – The Professional Fighters League, the fastest-growing and most innovative sports league in the world, the 2022 PFL Playoffs continue as PFL heads to the United Kingdom for the first time for PFL Playoffs Cardiff. PFL Playoffs Cardiff takes place at Cardiff Motorpoint Arena in Cardiff, Wales. The card will feature must-see semifinals bouts in the Welterweight and Heavyweight divisions. Rory “The Red King” MacDonald faces off against Dilano “The Postman” Taylor in a welterweight semifinals headliner. 

MacDonald, who came in at 171-pounds, finished the 2022 Regular Season as the top-seeded welterweight thanks to a first-round submission victory over Brett Cooper back at PFL 3. For the second season in a row, MacDonald finds himself in the postseason, and looks to advance to the PFL World Championships for the first time. Taylor, meanwhile, came in at 169-pounds for the opportunity of a lifetime. He steps in as a replacement for fourth-seeded welterweight contender Magomed Umalatov, who was forced to withdraw from the 2022 PFL Playoffs. 

In the co-main event, 2021 Heavyweight Runner-Up Ante “Walking Trouble” Delija faces knockout artist Renan “Problema” Ferreira in a heavyweight semifinals showdown. 

Delija, who weighed in at 242-pounds, went undefeated in his 2022 Regular Season campaign, notching wins over Matheus Scheffel and Shelton Graves to secure the number 2-seed. Ferreira, who weighed-in at 257-pounds, entered the postseason as the number 3-seed thanks to a historic 25-second demolition of Jamelle Jones. 

In the other heavyweight semifinals bout, fifth-seeded Matheus Scheffel (259 lbs.) meets Juan Adams (265 lbs.), who replaces top-seeded Denis Goltsov. 

The other welterweight semifinals bout features second-seeded Sadibou Sy (171 lbs.) take on third-seeded Carlos Leal (171 lbs.).
