Official results of the first edition of NPF MUAY THAI

This last Saturday (11/06) the martial arts calendar in Goiânia, in the state of Goiás, won another Muay Thai event. The inaugural edition of NPF MUAY THAI took place.

The organization of fight sport championships that has already managed to place Goiás on the national MMA circuit, now debuts its first event totally focused on the “Arte das Oito Armas”.

In the debut edition, two belt disputes.

Category belt up to 75kg

The iconic Jefferson “Monge”, leader of one of the most respected Muay Thai teams in the capital, the Monge Fight Team, who had already announced his retirement as a competitor, decided to face this challenge more. “Monge” beat the fighter Márcio “Samurai”, still in the 1st round, due to his opponent’s withdrawal.

Belt up to 60kg

Harlem Igor entered the NPF Muay Thai card at the last minute, after Adriano “Galego”, who would face Rossiny Cardoso, on the eve of the event, was removed by medical indication. Challenge accepted, Harlem won in the 2nd round by TKO.

According to the event’s organizer, businessman Fernando Rodriguez, the idea is to add to the modality tournaments model that already exist in the capital, a format where fights and entertainment for all audiences are combined.

“NPF Muay Thai is the combination of fights and show to entertain the martial arts audience. The Thailand-style format, where traditions prevail, has my respect and I really like it, but I want to present a new model of enjoying Muay Thai, with a structure and environment for fight fans to live an experience”, explained Fernando Rodriguêz. about the most daring model of the new event.

▪ Jefferson “Monge” defeated Márcio “Samurai” by forfeit in the 1st round;

▪ Hallern Igor defeated Rossiny Carvalho by TKO in the 2nd round;

▪ Giovana Coelho defeated Fernanda “Mulan” by decision of the judges;

▪ Mikael Gomes defeated Matheus “Pelezin” by TKO in the 4th round;

▪ Gabriel “Super Shock” defeated Jeremias Bruno by TKO in the 4th round.
