ONE Championship Signs Chinese Kickboxing Phenom Qiu Jianliang

Singapore: ONE Championship™ (ONE), Asia’s largest global sports media property, today announced that Qiu Jianliang, China’s top pound-for-pound kickboxer, has joined the promotion.

One of China’s biggest combat sports superstars, Qiu is a multiple-time Kickboxing World Champion and ranked #1 at super featherweight (68 KG) by Combat Press.

Currently riding a 17-fight winning streak, Qiu took a two-year break from competition to pursue a Master’s Degree in Sports Marketing at Loughborough University in London, England. He is now ready to resume his stellar career alongside the world’s best strikers in ONE Super Series.

Qiu Jianliang stated: “I am very honored to join ONE Championship, the world’s largest martial arts organization. I am excited to take my professional fighting career to the next level. Right now, Xiong Jing Nan is the only Chinese ONE World Champion, but that will soon change. I want to make history as the first-ever male ONE World Champion from China.”

Along with Qiu, ONE Championship also announced the signings of Chinese mixed martial artists “The Prince” Banma Duoji and “The Warrior” Zhang Lipeng.

The 23-year-old Banma starred as “Bear” in the critically acclaimed 2018 film “Golden Belt.” He began his career with a 12-fight unbeaten streak before suffering his first and only setback in 2019.

Zhang is a well-known veteran who began his professional career in 2008. He won “The Ultimate Fighter: China” in 2014 and has since competed in several notable promotions, including UFC, Road FC, and KLF.
