Singapore: ONE Championship™ (ONE) athletes competing this Friday at ONE: WINTER WARRIORS spoke to ONE commentator “The Voice” Michael Schiavello ahead of their highly anticipated matchups. Check out the best quotes below. ONE: WINTER WARRIORS broadcasts live from the Singapore Indoor Stadium on Friday, 3 December.
I think that everyone is experiencing some pressure in every fight. Both of us should be feeling the same amount of pressure. If the fight goes to the ground, I will have to find a way to get back into my own game. I will not play her game. I think that if she would try to stand and fight with me, she would get knocked out.
I just feel that I am inching closer to my goal and I’m super enthusiastic about it. My preparations have been good, it’s been on full steam. I’m really excited about the upcoming match. In the atomweight division, my wrestling prowess has been unmatched, it’s been unparalleled. I feel that Stamp won’t be able to beat me. [I] look forward to the 3rd of December and I’m inviting everyone to understand, to see, and witness for themselves.
I really love Stamp and Ritu. I think they both have such big hearts and they’re both very humble. I’ve been a fan of them for a while now so I just want to congratulate them both on being in the finals of this [ONE Women’s Atomweight World Grand Prix]. I’m very eager to see how they face off on December 3rd. I think there’s huge mutual respect among us, I just appreciate the respect. I think that you don’t need to trash talk your opponent, I don’t think that’s who they are and that’s not who I am. We don’t need to put on a show for the world and create some kind of drama that’s not there.

It’s not jiu-jitsu, it’s MMA so I have to be ready for any scenario right? If the fight is standing, I have to fight, I have to strike. I’m ready for that. If I have to wrestle, I train a lot of wrestling too, and if I have to use my jiu-jitsu, I know what to do too. But it’s MMA, it’s not jiu-jitsu. I know it’s a different game, you have to be ready in all aspects, you have to be a complete fighter and I’m doing my best to be as complete as I can in the game. I knew that I had no easy path during my career at ONE Championship. It is what it is, let’s do it. I never expect an easy fight anyway, it’s a big challenge.
I am nervous. I have to be honest, I am nervous. I have to tell you guys that I am nervous about all my fights, I feel anxiety with all of my fights. I feel stressed, pressured with all the fights that I have done. But I believe that nervousness, anxiety, stress, and pressure are the normal emotions that human beings have. You don’t have to be scared of those emotions, you just have to live with them and understand them. ONE Championship is actually a great platform that I can trust, a platform where I can get my name known around the world.
