Pedersoli Jr and Fadipe return for Belfast bout

An exciting welterweight match-up involving Carlo Pedersoli Jr and Henry Fadipe has been added to the bill for Cage Warriors 140, which is set for Belfast’s SSE Arena on Saturday, 25th June.

Pedersoli Jr returns to action with Europe’s leading organisation for the first time since he edged out former champion Nicolas Dalby over three thrilling rounds in Gothenburg in April 2018.

Four weeks later, the Italian made a victorious debut in the UFC by getting the better of Bradley Scott on the Darren Till-Stephen ‘Wonderboy’ Thompson card in Liverpool.

Pedersoli Jr, who went on to compete twice more for the UFC, recently committed his immediate future to Cage Warriors by signing an exclusive multi-fight deal with Europe’s leading organisation.

“I’m really excited to be back in Cage Warriors – the organisation that gave me the opportunity to showcase my skills to the world,” the 28-year-old said.

“Now I’m more mature and ready for the highest level again. Fight by fight, I’ll work my way towards the Cage Warriors belt and then I’ll be back in the UFC.”

Fadipe last featured for Cage Warriors back in July 2013, when an epic battle with current UFC welterweight Danny Roberts ended in a third-round submission loss for the Nigerian-born Dubliner.

The durable 30-year-old returned from a four-year lay-off last August with a second-round TKO win over Ali MacLean.

“It’s going to be an exciting fight,” Fadipe said of this summer’s clash with Pedersoli Jr. “He’s getting all the smoke!”
