Pro Wrestling’s Biggest Month: Biggest Names that Should be Making Headlines

There is no doubt that April is the biggest month for professional wrestling, with a number of headlining events taking place throughout.

Each of the major professional wrestling organizations have a huge event slated to take place, as each of them are going to have a number of the biggest stars on the card competing against each other, thus providing fans with some exceptional entertainment.

What events will take place in April?

Indeed, the month begins with perhaps the most famous wrestling event of them all as the WWE’s WrestleMania 38 spectacular takes place on April 2 and 3 this year at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. For many who enjoy sports betting with Betway, there is no hiding that this is one of the best events that they can place a wager on when it comes to gambling on professional wrestling, as it is typically one of the biggest shows on the sporting calendar which is perhaps highlighted by the fact that there are now two days in which it takes place across.

For fans who enjoy more wrestling, or perhaps are not quite in love with the WWE compared to other promotions, April continues to provide a range of top shows that they can enjoy and watch some top-quality wrestling.

AEW has burst onto the scene since being formed as a wrestling promotion and its AEW Battle of the Belts event will take place on April 16 in Garland, Texas, although it should be noted that it will be directly competing in NJPW’s Windy City Riot PPV event in Chicago, Illinois, on the same night.

The week after, though, Impact! will provide fans with the opportunity to see the best that they have to offer at the Impact! Rebellion show in New York on April 23.

Who are the biggest names to look out for that will make headlines?

As mentioned, WrestleMania is one of the biggest professional wrestling shows and it is one that is likely going to attract a number of people to place a bet with operators like Betway, especially when you consider the match that is set to headline the entire event.

Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns should both make headlines as they look to unify the Championship belts, as their storyline reaches a new point. The use of Paul Heyman in the entire picture is also likely to provide a fascinating moment within the rivalry, too. Both superstars are considered to be amongst the biggest in the promotion at the moment, and there have been a number of interesting moments between them that suggest both could be about to put on a show of the highest quality.

Charlotte Flair vs Ronda Rousey could see headlines be made too as both compete for the SmackDown Women’s Championship. Both are exceptional fighters and have been successful in their careers. Flair has been the Champion since October 2021 following the WWE Draft that saw her and Becky Lynch swap titles and brands. Rousey won the Royal Rumble event, which has left “The Baddest Woman on the Planet” gunning for her ever since.

Final Thoughts

Of course, there is plenty to look out for over the course of April as it is certainly professional wrestling’s biggest month, and whilst we have only mentioned those headlining WrestleMania 38, there will be some to make headlines across AEW, NJPW, and Impact!
