Report: Conor McGregor arrested in Corsica for alleged sexual assault and indecent exposure

Former UFC two-weight world champion, ‘The Notorious’ Conor McGregor has been reportedly arrested in Corsica, on suspicions of indecent exposure, and attempted sexual assault.

The 32-year-old was reportedly brought to police custody following the alleged incident which occurred on Thursday. The prosecutor’s office released the following statement to AFP.

Following a complaint filed on September 10th. denouncing acts that could be described as attempted sexual assault and sexual exhibition, Mr Conor Anthony Mac Gregor (sic) was the subject of a hearing by the gendarmerie services.

Details of the alleged offences committed by the Dubliner have yet to be disclosed.

In a brief statement released to TMZ by a representative of McGregor, the Dubliner has “vigorously” denied the allegations made against him.


“Conor McGregor vigorously denies any accusations of misconduct. He has been interviewed and released.


McGregor was set to begin a 180km marathon endurance race today alongside Princess Charlene of Monaco, to promote awareness surrounding water safety.

The Crumlin native, who announced his most recent retirement from professional mixed martial arts in June, was tested by anti-doping agency, USADA yesterday morning on his yacht – with his latest retirement called into question, as he remains in the testing-pool.   


The former lightweight and featherweight champion last featured in the Octagon at UFC 246 in January this year, scoring a forty-second knockout victory over future Hall of Fame inductee, Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone, in a welterweight main event.
