A championship tetralogy between reigning flyweight champion, Deiveson ‘Deus da Garra’ Figueiredo, and the former champion, the #1 ranked contender, Brandon ‘The Assassin Baby’ Moreno is currently in the works to land at an undisclosed UFC event in July, however, the bout is likely to land on one of two UFC 276 or UFC 277 pay-per-view events in the month.

The currency undisputed champion, Figueiredo, most recently landed the undisputed crown for the second time in his Octagon tenure – landing a close unanimous decision victory over Moreno in the co-headliner of UFC 270 in January of this year.

The victory returned Figueiredo to the winner’s enclosure after he dropped the title to Moreno in June of last year at UFC 273, suffering a title loss in a dominant third round rear-naked choke defeat.

In the pair’s initial showdown, Figueiredo and Moreno battled to a majority draw in the main event of UFC 256 in December 2020 – after the former was deducted a point in the third round after landing an unintentional groin strike on Moreno.

Per an initial report from Ariel Helwani on his official Substack page, the promotion has decided to book the fourth title pairing of Figueiredo and Moreno next, with an event in the month of July currently earmarked and identified.
