Report – Ian Garry vs. Darian Weeks added to UFC 273 on April 9.

Undefeated Dubliner, Ian ‘The Future’ Garry is in line for his second outing under the UFC’s banner – booking a UFC 273 pairing against recent promotional debutante, Darian Weeks for the April 9. pay-per-view event – which is currently targeted to take place in Jacksonville, Florida.
Garry, a recently moved resident of the ‘Sunshine State’ – is currently plying his trade at Sanford MMA in Deerfield Beach, Florida, successfully landing in the Octagon at Madison Square Garden in November at UFC 268 – stopping Jordan Williams with a blistering first round knockout victory.
For Weeks, the recent organizational newcomer made his first Octagon walk at UFC Vegas 44 in December at the UFC Apex facility, dropping his first professional blemish in the form of a unanimous decision loss to Bryan Barberena. Weeks’ management firm, Iridium Sports Agency confirmed their client’s matchup with Garry in a post on their official Twitter this Wednesday evening.
Portmarnock native, Garry entered the UFC back in November off the back of a gleaming 7-0 professional record – established entirely under the banner of Cage Warriors, led by Graham Boylan.
The 24-year-old managed to secure notable victories over the likes of Matteo Ceglia, Mateusz Figlak, and UFC veteran, Rostam Akman – en route to a vacant Cage Warriors welterweight coronation back in June at Cage Warriors 125 with a unanimous decision success against recent Bellator MMA mover, Jack Grant.
Weeks, an alum of the International Mixed Martial Arts Federation Oceania Open championships as an amateur, has managed to establish a 5-1 professional record since his transition back in February 2019, and has yet to go the distance in those five victories. Scoring three knockout stoppages, the LFA veteran also managed to secure himself two other submission finishes.
