Report – Paul Daley books retirement fight against Andrey Koreshkov at Bellator London on May 13.

A blockbuster welterweight clash between longtime sport staple, Paul ‘Semtex’ Daley, and recent finisher, Andrey ‘The Spartan’ Koreshkov has been booked for Bellator London on May 13. from the OVO Arena in London, England.
Set for his retirement fight, Daley, a native of Nottingham will book a homecoming bout against Russian sniper, Koreshkov – attempting to bow out of the sport with a victory following a unanimous decision loss to Jason Jackson at Bellator 260 back in June.
For Koreshkov, the 31-year-old knockout ace landed a breathtaking spinning back kick knockout win over Chance Rencountre in just 38-seconds at Bellator 274 on Friday. Rencountre suffered a punctured lung and five broken ribs as a result of the strike. Michael Morgan from WHOATV was first to report the pairing of Daley and Koreskhov.
A storied mixed martial arts pioneer in the U.K., Daley, a veteran of the UFC, Cage Rage, Cage Warriors, and Strikeforce to name a few – is revered as one of the deadliest knockout artists in the history of the sport, scoring a total 34 separate career knockout wins.
Before his loss to Jackson – who co-headlines Bellator London against Douglas Lima, Daley embarked on a three-fight winning run against Sabah Homasi, Saad Awad, and Erick Silva.
43-18 as a professional, Daley has lodged other notable career victories against the likes of Daniel Weichel, Duane Ludwig, Martin Kampmann, Jorge Masvidal, Scott Smith, Brennan Ward, and Lorenz Larkin.
25-4 as a professional, Koreshkov, a native of Omsk, has competed under the Scott Coker-led Bellator MMA banner since March 2012, and clinched the promotion’s undisputed welterweight title back in July 2015.
Koreshkov has managed to land career-high wins over a slew of opponents including Marius Zaromskis, Lyman Good, Benson Henderson, Chidi Njokuani, common-foe, Homasi, and in his title-clinching performance, landed a unanimous judging success opposite the aforenoted, Lima.
Bellator London is booked to take place on May 13. from the OVO Arena in London, England – with an undisputed welterweight title fight between reigning division kingpin, the undefeated, Yaroslav Amosov, and the surging contender, Michael Page slated to take main event status in the organization’s return to the U.K.
