Ronald “Jacare” Souza vs. Gegard Mousasi booked for UFC 176

Mousasi (35-4) and Ronald Souza (20-3-0) are set for a rematch to co- main event at UFC 176 “Aldo vs Mendes 2” pay-per-view event that will take place on August 2nd at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

Souza and Mousasi first met over six years ago, Mousasi ended up defeating Souza (20-3) by an up-kick knockout in the finals of the DREAM middleweight grand prix.

Gegard Mousasi (35-4-2) a veteran to MMA suffered a loss to Lyota Machida earlier this year on his return to a 185 pounds, however he was able to make a comeback defeating Mark Munoz in May with a submission win in the first round giving him a 2-1 record since his debut to the UFC.

Ronald “Jacare” Souza (20-3-0) has been on a six fight win streak, including his first three in the UFC. Since he made his UFC debut he took a first round Technical Submission (Arm-Triangle Choke) over Chris Camozzi, a knocked out win against Yushin Okami and won the decision when battled Francis Carmont.

With the addition of the co-main event, the latest UFC 176 card includes:
