Sergei Pavlovich is assigned as backup for Jon Jones vs. Stipe Miocic title fight at UFC 295

Sergei Pavlovich has once again been selected as the substitute for the heavyweight title fight in the UFC.
Pavlovich, who was designated as a backup for the vacant heavyweight title bout between Jon Jones and Ciryl Gane at UFC 285, will once again assume that role.
He has been officially named as the backup for heavyweight champion Jones’ initial title defense against Stipe Miocic, which will be the main event at UFC 295 on November 11, held at Madison Square Garden in New York.
Pavlovich, with a record of 18-1 in MMA and 6-1 in the UFC, fulfilled the backup role for Jones vs. Gane in March, although his assistance was not required. Both fighters made it to the fight, and Jones eventually submitted Gane swiftly to claim the vacant belt.
Since then, the 31-year-old Pavlovich secured his seventh consecutive first-round knockout victory against Curtis Blaydes in April at UFC Fight Night 222.
