Staredown Photos: Pettis vs Henderson III

Eternal rivals Anthony ‘Showtime’ Pettis and Benson Henderson were on weight at 170lbs today ahead of tomorrow night’s Karate Combat 43: Pettis vs Henderson III event at the The Expo – World Market Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Co-headliners ’Turbo’ Ross Levine and Smilin’ Sam Alvey also made weight – Alvey at the second attempt – for their Karate Combat World Heavyweight Championship bout.
The event – which also features a vacant Karate Combat World Bantamweight Championship contest between Omaira Molina and Melinda Fabian plus Raymond Daniels vs UFC veteran Bruno de Souza – begins at 6pm PT tomorrow, Friday December 15th.
Pettis said, “I’m looking forward to putting on a show tomorrow night. I’m excited to get into The Pit and and show what I’ve been working on. Everyone knows about The Showtime Kick – tomorrow you might get to see The Pit Kick, if the opportunity presents itself. Benson is a great athlete and I respect him a lot but I am going to get my hand raised tomorrow night.”
Henderson said, “If you’re a competitor like I am then you always want to avenge your losses. Anthony Pettis has two wins over me and I am very much looking forward to getting the chance to avenge that tomorrow night.”
KC43: Pettis vs Henderson streams live and free on the official Karate Combat YouTube channel from 6pm PT // 9pm ET.
