Ahead of UFC 307 this weekend and in light of recent comments by Alex Pereira, I just wanted to share with you a new study that reveals the most boring UFC fighters to watch.

New study reveals the most boring fighter in UFC, following Alex Pereira statement:

• Khalil Rountree Jr, Pereira’s UFC 307 opponent, found to be more boring to watch than Ankalaev.

A recent study by AskGamblers has revealed the most ‘boring’ UFC fighters to watch, based on performance-based metrics, defensive fighting tactics and external perceptions of each fighter.

Ahead of the UFC 307 fight this weekend between Alex Pereira and Khalil Rountree Jr, Pereira stated that Magomed Ankalaev has a ‘boring style of fighting that nobody wants to watch’, citing this as the reason Ankalaev did not get offered the fight.

In light of this, AskGamblers has reviewed the latest statistics to find out how boring Ankalaev really is in comparison with other fighters from the light heavyweight division.

Despite Alex Pereira’s recent comments, his opponent for UFC 307, Khalil Rountree Jr, statistically ranks as a more boring fighter than Magomed Ankalaev.

The results come after a deep dive into ranking factors such as each UFC light heavyweight fighters decision win percentage, finish rate, number of strikes landed, takedown average, submission attempts, strike defence, and online engagement.

The study also highlights that Azamat Murzakanov, the current 11th ranked UFC light heavyweight fighter, is statistically the most boring fighter for fans to watch.

Contrary to Pereira’s opinion, Magomed Ankalaev does not even make the top 5 ‘most boring’ UFC fighters within this division, according to the study. 

Ankalaev officially comes in at number 10, with a total ‘boring score’ of 50pts.

The data finally highlights whether Magomed Ankalaev is more boring than his rival Alex Pereira.

According to the results, Ankalaev is statistically more boring than Pereria, ranking number 10 and number 14 respectively.
