Summit Sports announces MMA star Denis Frimpong

London: 360 multi-sport and content creator management service, Summit Sports, has today announced renowned MMA athlete Denis Frimpong as its latest exciting addition to its combat sports roster, in a joint management with Denis’s trainer, Carl Prince of Manchester Top Team.
Denis “the Menace” who has been all over social media in the last week, with cross platform content accumulating 13million+ views after a call-out from UFC fighter Paddy Pimblett led to them fighting at Manchester’s Top Team gym, started his career as a track and field athlete before injury led to him taking up jujitsu and competing at the European Championships.
Having thereafter started his MMA journey during COVID, after success in the amateurs, Denis turned pro and was a finalist on MMA – Oktagon Challenge show that was broadcast on Channel 4 where his character became synonymous for his constant pranks and taunting of the other contestants.
In his quest to become a World Champion, Denis has signed back on with Oktagon and will be active in 2025 starting with a fight in Stuttgart in March.
Denis joins a roster that includes boxer Sophie Alisch, One Championship fighter Jake Peacock, and MMA athletes Nili Block and Kelly Staddon, the latter of whom has just been announced today in the draft for the new Global Fight League.
Oliver Weingarten, CEO: “I’ve been talking to Denis for some time about his ambition and desire to achieve his peak, and there’s no doubt he has the skill and drive. This was even evidenced in the fight with Paddy last week, where he arguably did better than some UFC fighters have done. We’re excited to work with him, and provide him the tools to achieve peak exposure, performance, and success. With 13m+ eyeballs on him last week, he’s got a great foundation.”
Denis Frimpong: “I am thrilled to join Summit Sports. I’ve followed what they’ve been doing in the combat sports space last year, and believe that Summit alongside Carl is the perfect partnership to take me to the top.”
