Tallaght prospect Shauna Bannon slated for Invicta FC 49 bow against Nadia Vera on September 28.

Undefeated Tallaght-born prospect, Shauna Bannon is set for her first walk under the Invicta FC banner after recently inking a multi-fight deal with the Shannon Knapp-led promotion – landing at the strawweight limit against Nadia Vera at Invicta FC 49 on September 28. at the Firelake Arena in Shawnee, Oklahoma.

Tackling Mexico native, Vera, Bannon, who made a major impact on the Irish regional mixed martial arts circuit with Cage Legacy, managed to scoop both undisputed flyweight and strawweight gold with wins over Kerry Isom, and Chi Attoh, respectively. 

Bannon, who plys her trade under the tutelage of former UFC flyweight contender, Paddy Holohan at Holohan Martial Arts, featured under the IMMAF (International Mixed Martial Arts Federation) scrutiny, where she landed a gold medal on her travels.

The 28-year-old undefeated upstart landed a 9-3 amateur record before making her professional debut at Cage Legacy 15 in April of this year, defeating Isom. Returning in a quickfire outing at Cage Legacy 16 in June earlier this summer, Bannon then stopped the aforenoted, Attoh to land the organization’s undisputed flyweight crown with a series of opening minute ground strikes.

3-0-1 as a professional, Mexico City native, Vera most recently landed victory over Ana Segura under the Budo Sento Championship banner back in December of last year.

Amongst the confirmation of Bannon’s debut outing against Vera as per an official press release from Invicta FC, the promotion are set to top the Invicta FC 49 card with an undisputed atomweight title fight between Jessica Delboni, and Jillian DeCoursey.
